At Enid OK; The Lackawanna College baseball season came to an end in its third game of the 2012 NJCAA Division II World Series. Playing an elimination contest against Catawba Valley Community College, the Falcons fell by a 10-1 score. With the loss Lackawanna finished the 2012 campaign with the college's all-time best record of 47-12.

The Final score was not indicative as to how close this contest was through the first seven innings. Neither team scored through four innings. In the fifth, with two on and two out, CVCC scored two on a triple. In the sixth, they scored another run on a single, sacrifice bunt, wild pitch and a sacrifice fly. Lackawanna rebounded in the bottom of the sixth when Lavance Anderson walked and moved to second on a walk issued to Matt Frei. Both Anderson and Frei advanced to third and second respectively on a Josh White sacrifice bunt. A Josh Savakinus sacrifice fly scored Anderson. The run proved to be the Falcons only run of the game. The Buccaneers broke up the 3-1 contest when they scored 8 runs in the top of the eighth inning to put the game out of reach.

Losing pitcher for Lackawanna was Adam Davis. Actually, Davis didn't pitch badly. He hurled 7 inninggs gave up 3 runs on 9 hits and 2 walks. He struck out 7.

At the plate, Lackawanna were limited to 4 hits, all singles. Recording basehits were Krisa Moules, Lavance Anderson, Matt Frei and Josh White. Josh Savakinus had Lackawanna's sole RBI, while Anderson scored its only run.

Although the Falcons were disappointed by their loss, it did not tarnish the brilliance of its 2012 season. They set a school record for wins in a season with 47; were undefeated in conference play with 14 wins and no losses; claimed the Region XIX Division II Championship for the third consecutive year; and claimed the NJCAA Northeast District Title. They took the Region Tournament and the District Playoffs without losing a game.
