Lincroft, NJ -- Two Region XIX teams for each men's and women's soccer are ranked among the nation's top-20 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire Preseason Ranking, which was released on Tuesday.
For the women, Ocean County College, the 2011 Region XIX Champions who finished with a 19-2-1 overall record, are ranked fourth in the preseason poll. Brookdale Community College, whose 2011 campaign was cut short after a PK loss to Ocean in the Region XIX semifinals, checked in at No.16.
On the men's side, Brookdale Community College, who finished the 2011 regular season campaign undefeated, found itself ranked fifth; while Bergen, who handed the Jersey Blues their only loss of the year in Region XIX tournament play, ranks 15th.
