Lincroft, NJ - After recording three consecutive shutouts, Brookdale freshman goalkeeper Bradley Bennett (Middletown, NJ) has been named the Garden State Athletic Conference men's soccer player of the week, as announced by the conference Monday.

Bennett, who boasts seven shutouts overall thus far this season, turned aside all 19 shots faced to earn a blemish-free save percentage. The team blanked three Region XIX and GSAC opponents, a 5-0 victories over Atlantic Cape (9/11/12), a 2-0 blanking of CC Morris (9/13/12) and a 4-0 clean sweep over Middlesex (9/15/12). The Middletown native currently ranks number one in the nation in goals against, save percentage and goals against average.

Bennett and his fellow Jersey Blues, who are ranked sixth in the latest NJCAA poll, face Passaic tomorrow, September 18th at home. Game is slated to start at 3:30 p.m.
