LINCROFT, NJ - Ocean County College Taylor Mize earns the GSAC women's soccer player of the week while Brookdale's Kyle Annechino takes home the men's honor, as announced by the conference office Monday.

Taylor Mize netted a hat-trick in Ocean's 8-0 blanking of Region XIX opponent Union County College. In the squad's final game of the week, a 5-0 win over Montgomery, Mize's two-goal performance place gave her 55 career goals - good enough to be the Viking's all-time leading scorer. Mize currently sits third atop the National boards for goals scored.

In a 2-0-1 week for the Jersey Blues, Kyle Annechino tallied three goals and one assists for a seven-point week. In Brookdale's first win, a 4-0 rout of Bergen, the freshman forward used his lightning-fast speed to record his first-ever hat trick. Then, in a 1-0 victory over visiting Gloucester, the Ocean Grove native assisted on the game-winning tally. Now with seven goals on the year, Annechino breaks into the top-20 for National leaders in scoring.

Brookdale and Ocean face off on Tuesday, October 9th with Ocean hosting the women's contest and Brookdale hosting the men. The games also kick-off the first annual Food Drive competition between the two institutions, a month-long initiative to benefit the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
