The Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) has 17 member institutions located throughout New Jersey that participate in Division I, II and III of the NJCAA, within Region XIX.  The GSAC names conference champions and serves as a governing body for its membership.

The Garden State Athletic Conference Female Athletes of the Year of 2008 were honored at Seton Hall University.  Student-athletes from every High School, Community College and University in New Jersey had representatives at the National Girls and Women in Sports Day, where each student-athlete was recognized at half-time of the Seton Hall women's basketball game.
