Garden State Athletic Conference - Baseball
Section I - Playing Regulations Governing Games
GSAC will be played under Region XIX Operating Code
1. For DII and DIII baseball, the GSAC schedule will be the same number of games against GSAC opponents as the Region schedule dictates. Additional games can be played between members but will only count toward the team's overall record.
2. All teams that tie for championship will be declared equal champions for both Division II and Division III.
3. Tied and halted games will follow the NCAA Rule book.
4. The home team will provide all baseballs.
5. Baseballs must be official NJCAA baseballs.
6. All GSAC teams will automatically forfeit if they arrive 30 minutes or more after the scheduled starting time of the game without advance notice.
Section II - All Conference Team
1. All G.S.A.C. coaches may nominate up to eight (8) of their best players and telephone or fax their nominees to the Service Bureau Director at a date and time specified by him and will include all statistical information as deemed necessary. DH must have a minimum of 50 plate appearances.
2. The Service Bureau Director will send or fax a master list of nominees and their statistical data to all G.S.A.C. Baseball Coaches via their respective Athletic Director.
3. The G.S.A.C. baseball coaches shall vote, via telephone or fax, with the Service Bureau Director and forward copies of their ballots to him by registered mail. All ballots will be open. Coaches may not vote for their own players.
4. In the event that a college’s coach does not vote, his players will be removed from consideration for the All Conference Team.
5. A First and Second Team, per division, consisting of twelve (12) players per team will be chosen and Conference certificates awarded. The selections must contain four (4) infielder, three (3) outfielder, one (1) catcher, three (3) pitchers, and one (1) designated hitter.
Section III - Awards
1. A Championship team plaque will be awarded to the Garden State Athletic Conference winner per division.
2. A First Team certificate will be awarded to the top twelve (12) vote getters per division. Second team certificates will be awarded to the next twelve (12) vote getters per division. If any ties in the ballot should occur, all ties will receive certificates indicating the place of their selection.
Section IV - Coach of the Year
The Coach of the winning GSAC team will be named G.S.A.C. Coach of the Year. The Assistant Coaches of the winning team will be named GSAC Coaching Staff of the Year.
