Cumberland freshman catcher and outfielder Danielle Cornman was named the inaugural GSAC Player of the Week for the 2015 season. 

Women's Basketball - Sun, Mar. 15, 2015

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Cumberland County College women's basketball team finished 5th at the NJCAA National Tournament held at Northampton Community College March 12-14.

The Dukes defeated Mesabi Range College (MN) 71-56 in the opening round, lost to top-seeded Roxbury (MA), 89-70, in the second round and fell to #3 Mohawk Valley (NY), 70-60, on Saturday.

Caroline Santiago was named to the All-Tournament team as the Dukes finished the 2015 season with an overall record of 25-3.

Region XIX - Fri, Mar. 6, 2015

MOORE TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Andrew Johnson, Director of Wellness, Athletics & Recreation at Delaware County Communty College has been named the new Director of Athletics at Lehigh Carbon Community College, effective March 16, 2015.

Johnson guided the Phantoms program to unprecedented heights during his six year tenure, with four conference championships, a region runner-up (men's basketball), 35 all conference or all region selections, two NJCAA Academic All-Americans and a Region XIX Coach of the Year.  Johnson also serves as the Secretary of the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) and has been part of the Widener women's basketball staff for the past 12 years, including the elite 8 team in 2013.

Prior to taking the DCCC job, Johnson served as the Sports Director at the Lionville Community YMCA in Exton, PA and as a Health and Physical Education teacher/coach at Friends Select School in Philadelphia, PA.  

Johnson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education (Sports Administration) from Lock Haven University and also holds a Master's Degree in Sports Coaching from the United States Sports Academy.

A native of Philadelphia, Johnson currently resides in Folcroft, Pa with his wife Ildiko and three children; Alana, Savana and Ace.
