MOORE TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Region XIX Golf Committee has released the 2015 All-Region team, which includes two players from the Region XIX champions, Lehigh Carbon Community College.

First Team

Erik Diamond - Morris

Anthony Spatacco - Delaware County

Michael Weinert - Lehigh Carbon

Thomas Archer - Northampton

Nate Mitchell - Del Tech

 

Second Team

Schnecksville, PA.- Lehigh Carbon Community College competed in the NJCAA Men's Golf Division III National Tournament Championship in Chautauqua, NY. last week. The team placed 10th overall and was led by the outstanding play of freshman Michael Weinert from Tamaqua, Pa. 

Weinert carded a 306 pionts over four rounds (72-80-76-78) which placed him 10th overall and earned him Second Team All American honors.

HAMBURG, NJ - Lehigh Carbon Community College captured the 2015 Region XIX Division III Golf championship, shooting a two-day total of 660 to outdistance the County College of Morris by two strokes.

Michael Weinert paced the champions with a two-day total of 157, which placed him 3rd overall in the individual standings.  Nikos Milios finished 9th for LCCC, carding a 165, followed by Chris Erb at 168 and Parker Lessel, Jr. at 170.

Erik Diamond of Morris captured the individual title, shooting a 153, followed closely by Delaware's Anthony Spatacco at 154.

Schnecksville, Pa.- Lehigh Carbon Community College golfer Michael Weinert has been named EPAC Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office. 

Weinert a freshmen from Tamaqua, Pa. led the Cougars to a first place team finish by placing first at the Region XIX Qualifying Tournament on April 27th. Weinert shot a 73 which earned him his third first place finish of the season. Weinert currently ranks #2 in the nation in scoring average and his low score of 73 is #1 in the nation.
