History

Region XIX of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) was established in 1973 when there was a split of the New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania schools from the Maryland and western Pennsylvania schools to form a new region.

Region XIX boasts 32 members from New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, with the addition of Johnson College, Community College of Philadelphia and Valley Forge Military College in the summer of 2013. The majority of the institutions compete at the Division II and Division III level.

Region XIX is traditionally one of the strongest regions in the country, as evidenced by its success on the national level.
