Salem's Wright and Sussex's May earn weekly honor

VINELAND - The GSAC Basketball Committee is proud to announce Sophia May and Naseem Wright as the D3 GSAC Basketball Players of the Week.

Womens - Sophia May - Sussex

Sussex's Sophia May was dominant to lead the Skylanders to an undefeated week.  The freshman guard nearly averaged a triple double while tallying triple doubles in the final two games of the week. May averaged 33 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists per game.  May is currently the leading scorer in NJCAA Division 3

Mens - Naseem Wright - Salem

Salem's Naseem Wright provided much needed leadership during the 3-0 week for the Mighty Oaks in victories over RCSJ-Gloucester, RCSJ-Cumberland, and Brookdale.  Wright averaged 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists on the week for the overall No.1 ranked team in NJCAA D3.
